the buck stops here where it comes to Cali Burritos - specifically the Cali Surfing Buritto, which is surf & turf meets cali burrito. Packed full of all the goods and smothered in a zesty chipotle sauce, this forearm-sized burrito will not dissapoint. Don't forget to slather on some of their creamy cilantro salsa or opt for the habeñero salsa if you need an extra kick. This place is go-to for this meal! Call ahead to skip the line!
Granted - other items can turn out average, you can't go wrong with this order! -

Decent crowd there one night; cashiers are pretty soft spoken when announcing orders, so a crazy patron took it upon himself to violently go around the ordering space yelling at people to pick up their order. From the other dining room it was an abrupt and blood curdling sound, I thought someone was being attacked. Cashiers being soft spoken, maybe out of spite for the customers, has happened every time I've gone there. Just get some speakers or a numbering system and then serve it.
Other reasons this place kind of sucks - I asked for chips and salsa, cashier said I could just order a whole bag and use the salsa at the bar - guess that's the authentic experience.
One more - the rice sucks, bland, and the meat is dry
The people that go there are pretty rude, probably due to being jammed into the small ordering space which the entrance impedes and for the food taking quite a while to be prepared.
Finally, pretty expensive too for below average food
2.5 stars for food and price, 1 for service and spaces -

Good food
Huge portions
No parking
Very busy on the weekends
Short staffed
Very rude to the homeless people buying drinks, it made me uncomfortable to watch the cashier mistreat and embarrass the homeless. Won't go back because I don't want to see that again. -

This Place Sucks, Not only is the staff rude and look like they all hate their lives but they can't seem to get an order right. I order a burrito with NO CHEESE and I get home and is practically a quesadilla. Not to mention when I ask for a water cup the lady running register pretty much spits on her self. If you want better food theirs a pet store across the street.

Every time I'm in San Diego I say I'm going to try Carne asada fries and never do, but today I finally decided to order some. Even after delivery and probably sitting in a take out box for 20+ minutes the food was still hot and delicious, fries weren't soggy. The dish itself was huge. This can easily be split between two people! Delicious and filling.
